The product

The hazelnut and dark chocolate are additional ingredients for this melting cookie. Made in the cookie in an artisanal way by our pastry chefs, the tender texture fondant, is delicately accentuated by the hazelnut flaps and by the sweetness of chocolate. An essential cookie for all gourmet breaks.

All these cookies are made in hand made by the pastry masters of the Biscuiterie La Sablesienne who use noble ingredients such as good fresh butter and eggs of high -air chicken.

The recipe

Fondants have their roots in the European baking tradition. They are often associated with ancient recipes where the finesse and delicacy of the ingredients were favored. European pastry chefs, particularly French and Italian, have always sought to create biscuits with a soft texture, by playing with butter, sugar and almonds.

In France, fondant biscuits have gained popularity with regional variations. French pastries are known for their sophisticated techniques and delicate recipes. “Fondant” as such can refer to various preparations, but specific fondant cookies are those characterized by their chewy texture and rich flavor.

Fondants have marked culinary culture by being associated with moments of celebration and celebration.

In France, they are often served at receptions, weddings, and end-of-year celebrations. Their preparation can also be a sign of culinary mastery in baking, their delicate texture requiring precise technique.

La Sablésienne fondants are distinguished by a unique recipe. They contain half as much flour as traditional shortbread, but more butter, sugar and eggs. Unlike shortbread, they do not contain baking powder and are prepared using a piping bag. This method gives them a slightly irregular shape, characteristic of fondants.

La Sablésienne offers five fondant recipes, with lemon chips, raspberry chips, apricot chips, orange and chocolate chips, chocolate and hazelnut chips. These crunchy and soft recipes will be ideal to accompany your tea or coffee.
